YASMIN Lingerie Shoot
Join Yasmin and I on our first Lingerie shoot together. In this 49 minute video we cover outfit selection, discussing limits and agreed themes with the model, finding interesting locations and how to build a connection with your subject.
We shoot in the stairwell with natural light and I add in off camera flash, and we shoot with window light in a beautiful bay window.
Yasmin poses in 3 beautiful outfits, including black lacy lingerie, a white lace bodysuit and also a sporty thong bikini.
ELINA Nude Shoot
This was a productive shoot! I met Elina for the first time, went over shot concepts and outfits and shot in 3 different locations over a rapid photoshoot. We created numerous distinct looks in such a short period of time by making small revisions in pose which I talk you through in video, and we get variations of lingerie, partial and full nudity.
Here we shoot in a typical bedroom, against a large window and shoot through a patterned glass door to create some really interesting final results. This video is over an hour long and features a conversation with Elina about how to communicate with the model and tips for how to give posing suggestions.
QUENTIN Conceptual Nudes
Play to the strengths of your subject! Quentin is a fashionable guy with a fantastic ‘smoldering’ look. And he also has a background in dance.
As I developed the shot concepts for this shoot, I had a few conceptual partial nude / partial fashion images in mind, as well as some angular and discordant mask images in mind. Then last minute, spotting a great ray of light from the afternoon sun, I ran to the pharmacy to pick up some powder to add in jump shots.
In all we created several dramatic looks incorporating full nudity, fashion, fishnet stockings and more – and I show you how to create dramatic results such as the one here – and also how to capture alternative images to share on social media.
STEPH Implied & Lingerie
Steph and I have shot extensively over the past three years and have developed a short hand that lets us create the image fast and smoothly. Among her many talents, Steph has excellent standing poses so we run you through a variety of options, including lingerie and partial nudity.
We then shoot in the bed and show you how to shoot nude but create concealed images, and how to avoid the cliche’d erotica looks whilst still conveying sensuality and the female form.
HENNA Tiny room challenge
As a professional I am often spoiled by choice – with access to studios and designer locations. In this shoot we wanted to limit ourselves to a small corner of a typical living room – working with a blank wall, some chairs and stools, and then a single window. We discuss options and formulate the shot list in real time.
Using a mix of available room light, added continuous light and also off camera flash, we were able to create a range of images that play to her strengths and work in the small space. We shot in lingerie, swimwear & also full nudes to create options for final image use. Henna and I share a conversation on camera about her posing methods and experience in the industry.
YASMIN Lingerie #2
After a fun first shoot, Yasmin and I came up with a series of new concepts and outfits to create more images.
Our first set up is a classic lingerie set incorporating a fantastic vintage mirror as a prop. We shoot with both available light and off camera flash and I walk you through the resulting differences.
Next Yasmin changes to a black lace body suit for some seated and kneeling poses with a dramatic light pattern, and finally we head outdoors and shoot with her wearing a royal blue slip with the setting sun filtered through a beautiful canopy of trees.
