What’s the one muscle group that gets more attention than any other and instantly let’s everyone know whether you are strong and muscular – or weak and puny?
If you said “The Arms” than you are right on the money. What makes having big muscular arms so desirable? Well, it could be because the arms are the most visible of any muscle group.
Whenever you wear a short sleeve shirt your arms are on display and people are looking. It’s human nature, when we see naked skin we just can’t help but stop and notice.
First impressions say a lot and people are unconsciously judging you by your arm development:
- If your arms are “Skinny” you look small and weak.
- If your arms are “Flabby” you look fat and out of shape.
- In either case you WON’T get the respect you deserve!

And since you can’t go out and buy yourself a great set of muscular arms, it also tells people that you’ve busted your butt and worked hard to get them. There’s a lot of respect and satisfaction that goes along with that.
The simple truth is that practically everyone admires a set of well-developed muscular arms, whether their egos will allow them to admit it or not.
- When a man sees another guy with big powerful arms he automatically associates him with having strength and respect.
- Women are naturally attracted to men who are athletic and have muscular arms. This triggers her natural instinct that the man can provide for her and would make a good lover.
- And children feel safe when held by a father with big strong arms.
Let’s face it… everyone loves strong, muscular arms!
Granted, there are some lucky guys out there who are naturally gifted with having big muscular arms that just grow and respond to whatever kind of workout stimulation they get. I personally know several guys who started working out with good arms, and then every time they hit the gym their arms just seem to get Bigger and BIGGER!
The genetically average Joe has to fight and scratch his way for every millimeter of muscle gained. It is truly an uphill battle. In fact it is so bad that it is almost rare to see a big muscular guy IN THE GYM these days.Just take notice of this the next time you are in working out, how many of the regular members have what you would consider big muscular physiques? I’m willing to bet not very damn many!
Now I think that it’s a safe bet that since you are hear reading this page right now that you are probably NOT one of the genetically gifted guys who can build bulging biceps by simply walking in the gym and looking at a barbell.
Chances are you can relate more with busting your ass in the gym day after day and being FRUSTRATED by the fact that you are STUCK IN A RUT with your muscle gains at a stand still plateau and going nowhere in terms of building a stronger more muscular body.
A lot of guys in this kind of situation will actually try and hide how scrawny they are by keeping covered up with baggy long sleeve shirts so people don’t see how painfully skinny and weak their arms really are. (I know because I used to be one of them.)
The picture to the right shows just how skinny I used to be, it’s one of the few photos that I have of myself where I’m NOT covered up and actually shows my spaghetti noodle thin arms.And to make matters worse. I was actually lifting weights and working out for a few years before this pic was taken. But you would never tell by looking at me that I ever touched a weight in my life. So in retrospect I was slightly “beefed up” here compared to when I actually started working out.
To put it bluntly, I had a nasty case of the dreaded…
“Spaghetti Noodle Arm Syndrome”
It seemed that no matter how hard I worked out, or how much food I stuffed in my face, or how many protein shakes I choked down, I just couldn’t make any headway towards building a bigger, stronger and more muscular body.
