Check it out: Z-Health – 9S2 STRENGTH and SUPPLENESS
One of the crowd favorite courses of our advanced curriculum, 9S:Strength & Suppleness is a high-level course designed to make you rethink strength and suppleness training from a foundational level.
While we use these forms of training to change the periphery of the body, every rep of every exercise is ultimately based on brain function. Understanding this at a deeper level can help you make every rep your clients perform more precisely targeted to both their strength and suppleness needs and their goals.
SOME OF THE CONCEPTS AND PRINCIPLES YOU’LL LEARN IN 9S: STRENGTH & SUPPLENESS ARE:
Strength training neuroscience – critical anatomy, pathways and structures made practical and useful.
How to modify every rep of every exercise based on neurology to target precise locations of brain function.
Practical blood flow restricted exercise – science, technical requirements and training protocols.
Flexibility, suppleness and mobility training through a modern neuroscientific lens.
Precise ligament techniques for pain, mobility and strength development.
Programming and recovery concepts for the 99% and the 1% of athletes.
Strength and suppleness through the Z-Health 8 Levels Model of Pain and Performance Neurology.
PROGRAM
This course is designed to help you understand the day-to-day variances you see in mobility and flexibility and explain a long-term approach to finally making changes you create in sessions “sticky.”
As in all of our advanced courses you will also explore various hands-on coaching assessments and tools to work at the local muscular level in a new way (ACM – Assisted Contractile Mapping), as well as at major joint ligaments to create rapid changes in pain and performance.
Finally, a key element of this course revolves around understanding the deeper neurology and ramifications of programming and recovery for different populations. In this course, we propose asking and answering the question, “If you keep training the way you currently train, will you be happy with where you will be in 10 years?” We then teach and explore practical guidelines and solutions based on emergent aspects of neural plasticity that will help bring order to your work with clients of all types.
OVER THIS INTENSE 4 DAYS, YOU WILL:
Learn critical neuroanatomy related to the development and maintenance of both high-level strength and mobility/flexibility.
Develop a working knowledge of Blood-Flow Restricted Exercise (BFRE) including its historical roots, critical assessments, and cutting-edge training protocols.
Explore what we call “ligament technique” for major joints of the body and how to use this hands-on assistance to rapidly improve pain and performance.
Begin practice of the ACM (Assisted Contractile Mapping) protocols focused on either brainstem or cerebellar assessments and gait patterns.
Learn how to modify both traditional strength training exercises as well as band/loaded mobility drills to target improved brain activity.
Discuss critical neural plasticity concepts and how they should guide both programming and recovery practices for the general public as well as elite athletes.
