Our Opinion on the Ibanez IJV50
BUILD QUALITY OF THE IBANEZ IJV50
The solid spruce top, especially for the price of the Ibanez IJV50, is a pleasant surprise. The guitar comes with a natural finish, which feels great to the touch.
The mahogany neck and agatha wood are glued together for stability. Spruce and laminate agathi form the top and body of the guitar.
The neck has the classic rosewood fingerboard, which is equipped with white dot inlays and 20 frets.
The saddle is made using the same rosewood material for increased consistency. The Ibanez IJV50 also has chrome tuners.
The rosewood bridge, rosewood fretboard, and mahogany neck complete the guitar’s wood markings. The black pickguard stands out as it offers a peculiar, yet classy accent to the guitar’s overall traditional look.

The guitar is, no doubt, made well. However, there is no pretense of a more expensive guitar.
One of the reasons the IJV50 manages to retail for such a low price despite being fairly well designed and built is mass production. If it was not made to cater to the masses, you would have gotten even better build quality for a slight premium of course.
SOUND AND TONE OF THE IBANEZ IJV50
The Ibanez IJV50 will not match the sounds of the higher-end guitars. It would be, in fact, extremely unfair to the guitar if you have any such expectations. The guitar has been designed and suitably priced to cater to fledgling musicians. In that aspect, the Ibanez IJV50 does more than a fairly decent job.
The dreadnought body shape, which most guitarists will dig, along with six steel strings creates full and bright tones. The uncolored tones produced are quality enough and most importantly consistent. There is high action and resonance, which make the guitar ideal for pop, classic rock, and country music.
Though you may come across a minor buzz while strumming, it isn’t something that cannot be fixed with a professional setup or with a change of strings. Invest in good strings, they enhance the guitar’s performance much more than what their price would supposedly indicate.
The Ibanez IJV50 presents solid projection and congenial tone. The instant sound punch you get from the guitar is bright and impactful. The tone, in fact, helps the guitar blend in with pretty much any song played.
IBANEZ JAMPACK IJV50
As I mentioned, this guitar is only available as part of a guitar bundle prepackaged by Ibanez.

The package contains many things a beginner will need to start learning to play, including:
gig bag
clip-on tuner
extra picks
shoulder strap
accessory pouch
To make the bundle complete, you should also buy a guitar stand like these separately.

ABOUT IBANEZ GUITARS
Ibanez is a Japanese guitar brand, with roots dating back to 1908. Originally the company was simply an importer of guitars, but started manufacturing them as well in the 1930s.

Initially, they focused on budget guitars, which were not known for their quality. They shifted towards the production of high-quality instruments in the 1960s. After producing Gibson and Fender clones, they arrived at their own style of guitars in the 1980s, and have never looked back.
Innovation has been strong at Ibanez. They were among the first companies to produce 7 string guitars, which were used by big names in music. Artists who play Ibanez guitars include Steve Vai, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Offspring, Andy Timmons, etc.
OUR OPINION ON THE IBANEZ IJV50
When evaluating this guitar, you need to think about how much you are paying, and what you are getting. For the price, we were completely taken aback how good the Ibanez IJV50 felt both in our hands and to our ears.
While there are a few drawbacks, since there’s only so much you could hide behind the price, the build and sound are things you just cannot fault in this piece.
